Weights Log – Gym Tracker Privacy Policy

Weights Log ("we", "our", or "the app") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
1. Overview
Weights Log is a privacy-focused fitness tracking app. We do not require you to create an account. Your workout data and workout history are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
The free version of Weights Log may display advertising. Users with a recognised Lifetime/Pro entitlement, including qualifying promotional entitlements, do not receive advertising in the app.
2. Information We Collect
Weights Log does not require you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or workout history to use the app.
We may collect limited technical, usage, analytics, diagnostic, purchase-status, and advertising-related information as described below.
Your workout data remains stored locally on your device unless you choose to export, back up, or share it using features provided by the app.
3. Analytics and Diagnostics
We use analytics and diagnostic services to understand how the app is used, improve reliability, identify errors, measure feature usage, and improve the user experience.
These services may include PostHog, Firebase/Google Analytics, and Sentry.
Depending on the service and device configuration, information processed may include app version, operating system, device type, general app usage events, feature interactions, installation or acquisition information, crash information, performance information, and other technical diagnostics.
We do not intentionally send your workout history, exercise names, weights, repetitions, personal records, or other workout content to these analytics services.
4. Advertising
The free version of Weights Log may display advertising provided through Google AdMob.
When advertising is available, Google and its advertising partners may process information needed to provide, measure, secure, and improve advertising. Depending on your location, device settings, consent choices, and applicable law, this may include:
• IP address and general location information
• Advertising and app interactions
• Device and advertising identifiers where permitted
• Device and app information
• Advertising performance and measurement information
• Diagnostic information
• Information used for fraud prevention, security, and abuse detection
Advertising may be personalised or non-personalised depending on your location, privacy choices, device settings, applicable law, and the options made available by Google.
Weights Log does not receive your workout history for the purpose of selecting advertisements.

5. Lifetime/Pro and Promotional Entitlements
Users with a recognised Lifetime/Pro entitlement do not receive advertising in Weights Log.
Qualifying promotional or free-pass entitlements that are recognised as equivalent to a Lifetime/Pro entitlement are also treated as ad-free.
For a recognised entitled user, the advertising SDK is not initialised for normal ad serving.
If entitlement status is temporarily uncertain while the app is determining purchase status, Weights Log does not assume that the user is eligible to receive advertising.
6. Privacy and Advertising Choices
Where required or made available, Google may present privacy choices relating to advertising, including choices concerning personalised advertising and the processing of data for advertising purposes.
Your advertising privacy choices are separate from your acceptance of the Weights Log Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
Choosing not to receive personalised advertising does not necessarily mean that no advertising will be displayed. Where permitted, non-personalised or limited advertising may still be shown to users of the free version.
You may also have privacy controls available through your device operating system.
Where applicable, Weights Log provides a privacy options control within the app that allows you to review or change advertising privacy choices previously made.
7. Purchases and Restore Purchase
Weights Log offers an optional one-time Lifetime/Pro purchase that removes advertising.
Purchase transactions are processed by the applicable app store. We do not directly receive or store your full payment card or banking details.
The app may process purchase and entitlement information needed to determine whether Lifetime/Pro access has been purchased and to support Restore Purchase functionality.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Workout data stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it, clear the app's data, uninstall the app, or otherwise remove it.
Information processed by third-party analytics, diagnostic, advertising, and app-store services may be retained according to those providers' respective policies and legal obligations.
You can remove locally stored workout data using the app's available controls or by removing the app and its locally stored data from your device.
9. Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your workout history.
Information may be processed by service providers used to operate, analyse, diagnose, distribute, monetise, or support the app, including services such as:
• Google, including Firebase, Google Analytics, Google Play, and AdMob
• PostHog
• Sentry
• Apple and the Apple App Store, where applicable
These third parties process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information associated with the operation of Weights Log. However, no method of electronic storage, transmission, or processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Because workout data is primarily stored locally, the security of your device, device backups, exported files, and any files you choose to share is also important.
11. Children's Privacy
Weights Log is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
Advertising and privacy controls may vary according to applicable legal requirements, app-store requirements, and Google's advertising policies.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app, services we use, legal requirements, or our privacy practices.
When we make material changes, we may update the Effective Date and, where appropriate, provide notice through the app or other reasonable means.
